All on 4 is a technique that was created by Dr. Paulo Malo and is Trademarked by Nobel Biocare. This technique allows implants to be placed in precise locations and angles to provide optimum support for an arch of teeth. By placing as little as 4-6 implants, an edentulous patient can have complete restoration of their speech, mastication, their smile, their confidence, while also preserving their jaw bone.
In addition, studies have shown that wearing traditional dentures without implants reduces the chewing forces down to 5%, whereas using the All on 4 technique, patients are able to maintain 100% of their chewing efficiency. Not chewing your food properly obviously leads to a greater choking hazard, but also leads to poor nutrition as you are unable to break down food properly, therefore your body absorbs less nutrients.
